We have an interesting little problem in that when transmitting on some frequencies the rudder and elevator trim indicators (Mac trim LEDs) will dim and change and light up multiple LEDs. I suspect strong rf interference is the culprit as these wires travel aft close to the com antenna. The flap position indicator and hydraulic pressure indicator which use similar but not identical LED indicators are unaffected, their respective wiring circuits aren't anywhere near the com antenna of course. The rear position light probably should have it's feed and return wires screened as it travels aft past the antenna as well and is probably feeding rf back into the ship's wiring. This is probably why the Electronics International fuel guage changes readings when transmitting on some frequencies, another little problem to sort! Regards, Robert Overmars.
