A slight bump in the runway close to lift off, but before the plane is really ready to fly will unload the switch and start the gear up just before you start to settle back down. That funny grinding sound will be the propeller getting real short real quick! Not to mention the fact that the engine is running full bore at prop contact - can you spell engine tear-down and possible broken crank? Can't imagine what you save doing this but I sure can imagine what it'll cost! I know someone to whom it has happened (no names, please) and it ain't pretty!
