My thanks to Greg Nelson for his vote of confidence - but, unfortunately - I
can't answer the question regarding whether the later wings will fit an
early 235 airframe.
Someone who might though is Jim Wapelhorst or Dennis Conkey, who have their
235/320 down at Camarillo, CA. Jim tried to take some airport lights with
him on a takeoff back in '93 or '94 and his Lancair came out second best. I
was a hangar mate of Jim and Dennis then and, if memory serves, they had to
rebuild using 320 outer wing panels as the earlier ones weren't available.
(I could be wrong on this, as I say, I'm relying on my memory - and we all
know that that's the second thing to go as you get older [don't even ask
what's the first!]).
I know they both read the LML so maybe Jim or Dennis has the answer.
My guess that where there's a will, there's a way. Might just take a bit of
mechanic-ing, i.e., get a big hammer.
