Mike,
I wish it were so... but my bleeder is just a simple "Hudson" type sprayer.
It is much newer but that's no thing. If it is filled way up the air
bubbles will be pumped in below the fluid level. I couldn't afford to buy a
diaphram type pot as they are really expensive. I've never had a problem
with air going into solution with the 5606. I do use a plastic hose to
monitor air bubbles and should they appear, I stop before injecting them
into the caliper.
Truth be known, the diaphram bleeders are a big pain in the butt. As they
get old the rubber plug on top gets oil soaked and swells up. I have had it
blow out and spray me and the shop with a not-so-nice air/oil mist. In
addition they are hard to fill. Oh, but on the up side, they have wheels!
Use a squirt can, but first fill EVERYTHING with fluid one peice at a time.
If that still fails to get rid of spongy pedals, build a copy of mine or
build Bob Pastusek's fuselage rotisserie.
