It is much newer but that's no thing. If it is filled way up the air bubbles will be pumped in below the fluid level. I couldn't afford to buy a diaphram type pot as they are really expensive. I've never had a problem with air going into solution with the 5606. I do use a plastic hose to monitor air bubbles and should they appear, I stop before injecting them into the caliper. Truth be known, the diaphram bleeders are a big pain in the butt. As they get old the rubber plug on top gets oil soaked and swells up. I have had it blow out and spray me and the shop with a not-so-nice air/oil mist. In addition they are hard to fill. Oh, but on the up side, they have wheels! Use a squirt can, but first fill EVERYTHING with fluid one peice at a time. If that still fails to get rid of spongy pedals, build a copy of mine or build Bob Pastusek's fuselage rotisserie.
