<Someone showed me a detector for the overflow line - it
lights up a light on panel (or turns off the pumps) when it detects gas in
the line. Anyone have info on where to buy it? Other ideas? We are now
trying to only pump with one tank at a time so we can't overshoot but we
are still likely to screw up sometime.>
Hi
I purchased a device from Pillar Point Avionics (650 740 1516) in Half
Moon Bay, Ca that is well engineered, good looking, and provides all kinds
of protection, prevents overfilling, prevents under filling, shuts off the
pumps when the wing tanks are dry, with in tank sensors. Without in tank
sensors it is still impressive as it will run the pumps for only 5 minutes
and then shut off, this transfers about 5 gallons with the engine running.
It shuts off the wing pumps when the tanks are empty.
It is amazing the information that it can give you with just two
switch/lights. Try it you will like it.
