The last time I put two BID around the edges and that seemed towork but now we have a very small leak again. This appears to be caused by inadvertantly pressurizing the header by pumping in too much gas. Our overflow pipe is the same size as the inlet pipes but there are two inlets and only one exit = POP. It seems easy to just not pump too full but the sight gauge gives different readings when you are going up or down... Someone showed me a detector for the overlow line - it lights up a light on panel (or turns off the pumps) when it detects gas in the line. Anyone have info on where to buy it? Other ideas? We are now trying to only pump with one tank at a time so we can't overshoot but we are still likely to screw up sometime. We have looked into replumbing the whole set up but it is too difficult on a finished plane. Easy Solutions: 3M makes some new white hangars for walls or refrigerators that can be easily taken off by pulling on a tab on the adhesive, the adhesive pack stretchs, put in a new adhesive pack to put it back on. I used 1 1/2 inch hooks and put one on each side just behind our heads tohang the headsets = works fine so far. Very cheap and doesn't screw anything up. Take it off without hurting the finish if you don't like it. They also make a note holder for little reminders (frequencies etc.) Get them at Loew's or Home Depot. I also noticed an AD in AOPA mag last month for something I was about to invent = a timer that vibrates. Set it for ten min, put it between your legs and you will remember to shut off the pumps or change tanks etc!
