I've been reading everyone's posts on fuel tank sealer and haven't heard
of anyone who applied it the way we did on my ES.  I'll throw it out there
in case anyone's interested.
We used the Jeffco sealer, but after painting it in all the corners,
edges and under the capstrips and rolling it on the bottom wing skin, we
sprayed it into the fuel bays.  We put on two coats and it came out awesome.
A side benefit was that it took far less than expected to do the job.  We
did both wings with extended tanks with only one kit.  (That ought to save a
few washer's worth of weight!)  My builder guru has been doing it this way
for some time and has had great results.  Both wings have since been
successfully leak checked.
I'll second what Mike Salzman said about using a mirror to look up under
the capstrips for areas you may have missed with the brush.  I was amazed to
find how many spots needed to be touched up before we sprayed.
I still wish Lancair would put the sealer on at the factory for us like
they do on the IV's and Legacy!
