You are on approach to a strip 3,500 feet long. The touch down is good and
you retract the flaps and apply brakes. One of the brakes workes fine the
other not at all. You now have one of three choices, go around if you have
enough runway left, depart the runway at the end or depart the runway into
the runway lights.
There have been many Nylaflow brake line failures in both Lancair and
Glasairs. Some are reported and many not.
I used hard AL tubing and #3 teflon SS braid from Aeroquip Industrial
catalog where flexing is required.
Remember, we do not have a steerable nose wheel. Both brakes gotta work
all the time!
