On the subject of weight savings I bought my hydraulic hoses made to order
from Specialty hose (bhoward@specialtyhose.com was the salesman's e-mail
address).  Each hose only cost about $17.00 (industrial grade) and has a
working pressure of 3k with burst about 12-15K and was about half the weight
of the Lancair supplied hoses with the heavy 2 piece end fittings.
