They said that the epoxy can be mixed in the range of 18 to 28 :100 by weight and still have the rated performance. If you get out of the range rated performance is not guaranteed. Too much hardener, it will be soft. Too much resin, it will be brittle. My sticky stuff dispenser has stamped on its label plate "26:100 by volume". Jeffco said that is fine too. What surprised me was that they said I could use a mixing cup with marks on the side for volume, like you can get at paint stores, and put in 1/4 hardener and 3/4 resin (25:100 by volume) and that would work too. Now it seems to me that there would be a lot of error possible that way. It seems to me that Jeffco is not too concerned about getting the ratio exactly on some specific value. I am not a chemist, so I don't know what to think. All I can do is trust that the sticky stuff dispenser will do its job and mix it right. I sure paid enough for it. It sounds like it is split about 50-50 between who use the dispenser and who use the scales. What about the hysol? I take it that we have to use a scale for this since it is to be mixed at "100:44.5 A to B by weight". Does anyone have any suggestions on mixing this stuff? The thickness could be an issue when a lot needs to be mixed in a hurry like when closing a wing. I hope to close out my first wing in February. ===== LNCE N811ES 5% arrow54t@yahoo.com >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML website: http://www.olsusa.com/Users/Mkaye/maillist.html LML Builders' Bookstore: http://www.buildersbooks.com/lancair Please send your photos and drawings to marvkaye@olsusa.com. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
