My Bendix/King HSI heading bug stopped responding to the knob, which would j=
ust spin, after the A/P (Stec-50) was engaged, and HSI/530 selected. I was i=
ntermittently able to turn the bug, but when approaching the actual heading,=
 the bug disengaged and knob would just spin. Turning the A/P off then back o=
n, would sometimes re engage the bug, but the same symptoms reoccurred.=20
