In addition to this report that includes a successful flight with an open canopy. I know of another in Texas (Don Bird)who successfully landed with the canopy open. I also know the Lakeland crash was the result of a stall. Yes, the canopy was a contributing factor to but the airplane simply got to slow and stalled. As far as I know, there has been no flight testing done with a Legacy in this configuration.
