It might be too late for your plans, but some others might want to do what I did: Without any reservations, hotel or car, I started calling hotels in Appleton about two weeks before OSH. They, of course had at least a 3-day, and some a 5-day minimum. But sooner or later there were enough cancellations for me to pick my day. Same with car rentals. Seemed to work best with Excel Inn. Worked every time and I never paid an exorbitant rate. but that was maybe 10 years ago. Might not work now, but it's a thought. Yes, it doesn't get your plane to OSH, though.

Does anyone have any suggestions for getting a reasonably priced rental car
during Airventure? Hertz prices on the field start at $152 for an economy
car and the rental agencies in town are similar. We're already paying
$200/night for a hotel, and paying triple the normal rate for a car seems
pretty outrageous.
Thanks in advance,
