John,
I use a 33-2006 K&N filter (~40 sqin).  I appreciate having a filter every time I change it out and look at all the stuff that didn't go through the engine.
This is write-up from 2000 (its an old airplane now)

The nice thing about a good filter on an airplane is that losses decrease with altitude and rpm.  The most challenging part of the envelope is SL takeoff.  Thick air and max rpm.  40 sqin meets K&Ns design criteria for take-off airflow with a 360 and the pressure drop is too small to be seen on a MP gauge.

John,

On our 320 we used the Vans RV6 airbox. This uses a large K&N automotive
filter. It has a well thought out and functional carb heat feature. The
downside is that it is big. Some surgery will be required on the bottom of
the cowling to make it fit.

What's everybody using to filter the air intake to the carb, if
anything? At the moment, I have no filter at all. Any suggestions? --John
