American Propeller in Redding, CA  is currently overhauling the Hartzell HC -
C2YR-1BF constant speed prop mounted to my Lyc O-320D3G by way of a 2.5 in.
hexagonal machined aluminum prop extension and tells me that two of the six
mounting studs are not serviceable.  They've never seen these 4.5 inch studs
before and don't have replacement source.  Hartzell has nothing bright to
offer.  Lancair no longer offers this prop. The Hartzell F2YR now offered for
320s has an extension built into it and so far no help from the folks at
Lancair.  Unfortunately, Vern's away on Guard duty.  The fellow who built my
airplane can't recall where he came by the extension and the studs.

My 320, serial number 573, is one of the earlier small tail/short engine
mount kits.  Hopefully, there are 320s out there with a similar arrangement.  
Finding the proper stud wouldn't seem to be such a challenge.  This is one of
those times when not being the builder is a bit frustrating.
