Serial #36 so I'd guess it's an early = one. The engine is listed as an O-290 and it was registered by the = current owner in 1998. I live in the general part of Oregon where the = plane's current owner lived and have been involved in all things Lancair = for over 20 years and can't recall ever seeing the plane. I hope the = cause for the tragedy is determined and made public. By the way, the = local news reports here locally reported the plane as a "Lankair" and = proceeded to report how many people have been killed in "Lankairs" over = the years. Very sad what's happened to the "news" over the years. The = good news was that nobody on the ground was injured.
