I had a overheating problem with my Lancair 360 originally I made the pick
up at the front of the cowl down the side of the cowl (internally) via a
glassed duct.
It worked to a degree however oil temps were always on the high side and a
real worry in the summer here in Australia.
A relative easy fix was to take the air off the back of the baffle directly
into the oil cooler, this was achieved by constructing a carbon fibre elbow.
End of all my overheating temps were reduced by up to 20 degrees F.
Total time since installation 226 hours.
Hope this information helps as I have seen all sorts of fixes for this same
problem.
