I used to land (as a passenger in the company airplane) at LAX in those days (every day for almost three years!) and it became a ritual for the folks that had to fly to Palmdale or Edwards to count the bunnies during the roll-out and taxi to the Rockwell compound. Never heard of any of our guys fricassieing (sp ?) one in the Rolls Royce turbo-props however. The high point was landing just in front of the Concorde SST on it's one and only trip to LA, and piling out at the edge of the runway to watch it land! I don't miss it.
