-- Could you put this in your aileron bellcrank bay? It can go aft of the
front
-- spar, in my opinion. Anywhere up to 40% of the way back from the leading
-- edge, as I recall. Just put it up near the from part of the aileron bay,
if
-- you can.
I have placed my AoA pressure ports in the aileron bellcrank inspection area
on my LNC2. Haven't tested it yet, so I don't know if it will work. I'll
keep the group posted...
(Note - I probably will have to order a new port gizmo, because the idiot
"professional" who installed it also primered over the lower port. I doubt
I'll be able to able to find the hole...

[Matt... the lower port is the one that is mounted to the little phenolic
square. Since your ports are accessible from inside the aileron
bellcrank inspection area you should be able to get in there and remove
the tube from your lower port. With the tube removed you should also be
able to drill a new #60 hole from the inside out right through the
tubing barb. I can't imagine this approach would have any deleterious
effects on the installation... once the hole is redrilled simply replace
the tubing and you should be golden. Just a thought.
