Agreed about Robert DuRall. He is very helpful and knowledgable. However, he did not have the answer to lack of TAWS. Also he could not give me a clue how to correct the persistent lack of "Faults" submenu that is supposed to be useful in researching fault warnings as they occur.
If anyone has a clue why that submenu would not be accessible, I'd love to hear it. Basically, that slot on the left side of the screen is simply blank. It's like the strike finder submenu that just doesn't show up unless you have the Strikefinder installed.

Has anyone else experienced TAWS failure with Pinpoint system and Chelton MFDs where the GPS and all other functions seem to be fine? I don't really know if I ever got TAWS with the pinpoint but am sure it was working fine while the X bow 500 was in play. The problem may have been coincidental with the changeover a few months ago but I am not certain. My understanding to date is that if you get GPS you should get TAWS. One other anomaly discovered is that selection of Menu on the MFD screen does not bring up the the FAULTS menu. Again, all the other submenus are normal but faults is simply missing.
Thanks John Barrett
