    Regarding rudder cable friction, I noticed when I first started to fly my
320, there seemed to be significant rudder friction.  On a couple of early
landings, it seemed "sticky" and led to a couple of landings when there was some
screeching when I tried to align the a/c on landing.
    Subsequently, I found that the rudder springs were the problem.  When I took
them off and moved the rudders there was almost no friction.  I have stretched
them out some so that they hold the rudders up, but don't put force on the
opposite rudder to the one being pressed.
    Even now, if I have my foot on the opposite rudder, I notice a sticky feel.
Now, when I apply rudder I back off the opposite rudder.  Does anyone else
experience this effect?
    Anyway, you might check the friction without a spring pulling against the
opposite rudder.
