I had PFD #1 updated to latest firmw= are. Older MFD in #2 slot has updated firmware but I think an older GIS dat= a base. I suspect that the newer terrain DB did not get pushed to the older= unit so the system was unable to sort out two different data bases. I just= replaced the older MFD with a new one that had been updated for me by the s= ame person as the other. TAWS now works and I have to conclude the system wa= s looking for the same DB in each unit. I don't really k= now if I ever got TAWS with the pinpoint but am sure it was working fine whi= le the X bow 500 was in play. The problem may have been coincidental with t= he changeover a few months ago but I am not certain. My understanding to da= te is that if you get GPS you should get TAWS. One other anomaly discovered= is that selection of Menu on the MFD screen does not bring up the the FAULT= S menu. Again, all the other submenus are normal but faults is simply missi= ng. >=20 > Thanks > John Barrett >=20 > Sent from my iPad >=20 >=20 > -- > For archives and unsub http://mail.lancaironline.net:81/lists/lml/List.htm= l
