Regarding Lorn H. Olsen's post about the average distance between airports
in the US of A.

13 miles?!! Apparently you've never flown much in Nevada, Utah and the like.
Believe me, there are some very barren patches out there! If you're planning
to find an airport on average every 13 miles or so in that area, bring more
gas!
