Meanwhile I flew down to Caldwell where SFS is based and was greeted by gordon with whom I had a 45 minute demo flight in their cessna 210 EFIS 2000 equipped and got to play around with it and push all the buttons! Amazing! Brent is right by saying that if you can't afford it don't even look at it. I walked into kirk's office at lancair this morning to inform/confirm that we were going to have it in our airplane. Also Jim : > December 15, 2000 -- Washington, D.C. --- EPA > Administrator Carol Browning announced today that... since you can foresee the future, why not reassure me of SFS's presence and good financial health in the future ? ;-) no harm meant, just pulling your leg ! Do pay a closer look at the SFS next time you come across it I'm sure you will change your views. I'm curious to know. Brent, whatever can go wrong WILL go wrong on your demo flight. We chuckled but were not a bit disappointed by your demo. A little too short though, because I discovered so much more on my flight with gordon. And yes, I hadn't thought about the icing factor during the fly-in ! Some questions about the EFIS 2000: 1. Which autopilot interfaces well with the EFIS 2000 ? Do they have their own ? 2. What flight info can you download onto your computer as an excel file ? Is it only engine info (EGT, CHT etc..) ? Or can you download you flight levels, flight path, airspeeds, fuel flow, etc... etc... etc... ? It would be really cool if you could download all that and later analize performance etc... such a nice way to keep a log. 3. What is the guarantee they offer with their systems ? What about updates ? How much will they cost ? Brent I'm sure you have the answers for these questions. Thanks again list, Regards, fili IV-P (50.5%) __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
