Seems several items weren't working, heading was off 20 degrees at times, etc. Sure, it's a nifty-looking system, but at around $40K with the attitude information (it's not that big a deal without it), it really ought to be! For that price, you can just about put in a Meggitt system. I guess before I'd plunk down that kind of cash, I'd need to be convinced we weren't looking at DarkAngel II. Nightmare: December 15, 2000 -- Washington, D.C. --- EPA Administrator Carol Browning announced today that as of January 31, 2001, all remaining uses of lead additives in gasoline would be banned. Although the switch to unleaded gasoline was accomplished for cars and trucks years ago, there have still been some small-volume markets for specialty fuels, such as the so-called low-lead aviation fuel (100LL) used by some high-performance aircraft. Ms. Browner said that EPA would continue to work with concerned agencies to develop alternate fuels for these remaining small markets. Doesn't that make you feel great about ordering those brand-new IO-550's and TSIO-550's? Sweet dreams!
