I then gave the conversion set to a friend. When installed they did not work but for good reason. Our sets were surplus military units. The schematics were different from anything that was described in the instructions. When Headsets was contacted they asked to him to send them to the Texas facility. Circuitry and resistance values were different. They redesigned teh conversion and made sure that it worked. Cost: $0. Add the DC gel cells, the Air Sox to absorb sweat (washable), and a headband cover and your in business. Don't know if I could handle the DC's without the Air Sox. Really helps to keep the ears dry. Headsets service was very good and I plan to convert the other two units that I have, both military surplus.
