I have been having issues with my #3 cylinder running hotter
that the rest of the cylinders when in the "racing" mode.
Whenever I lean the engine for best power .... #3 gets into
the 400 - 425 degree range ... I have to enrichen the mixture to get it to cool
below 400, therefore losing max power .... I have replaced #3 cylinder but still
have the same issue???
Before, I have had just regular baffling (it was good and
tight as baffling goes), but just finished the tightest plenum with special
attention to cooling deflectors for #3 cylinder.
Any ideas on what could be causing this problem and or a
fix. Getting ready to race Reno and this was a problem last year.
Takeoff, Cruise and LOP operations is OK?????
Standard IO 550N with 10 to 1 pistons - gami
injectors????
