The clearance looked good enough now so i continued to use them a few hours. After noticing molten rubber splash on my flap, i decided to check a little further. after ascertaining that strut and axle measured the same on both sides, i returned the tire to Goodyear, fphotgraphing the numbers and computer code of both sides. As it turned out they were manufactured in different plants and the plant from south america was slightly oversized as measured on inflation. apparently it met specks as a carry on bag must fit in a receptacle at airport checkin. They replaced the tire . By the way, I have switched to Goodyear III. which I like a lot better and they supposedly last a lot longer. I only hope to wear out many sets..:) On Fri, May 17, 2013 at 8:05 AM, Jon Socolof wrote: > Just an update, I tried the Desser Retread tires for my Legacy (not the > Monster retreads).
