Hi Fili,

I sent through your first plain text post without having seen the second
one.  I appreciate your complying with this requirement, it will make
things go much more smoothly in the future.

Thank heavens no one was hurt during that landing.  It's still a sad thing
to hear about one of our fellow Lancair fliers damaging his airplane.  What
a shame.  At least he'll be able to fix it up and get it back in the air
one day, that's a bit of a relief.

I saw a guy in a C150 land downwind at a little airport I used to hang out
at back in Chicago... he made 3 passes and actually put the thing down on
the numbers at the approach end of the runway with a ditch and a fence not
150 yards away.  I knew there was going to be a crash when I saw him make
that second pass.  I'll bet the same thing was going through your mind when
you saw that 320 coming in that went through mine with the 150... GO
AROUND... DO THE JOB RIGHT!!!  Perhaps this guy with the 320 couldn't have
gone around, although anytime you get yourself into that kind of situation
I tend to look upon the incident as pilot error.  You're just not supposed
to allow yourself to get into those kinds of predicaments.  Hindsight is
always 20/20 though, isn't it?

I'm flying into Pasco tomorrow night and driving down to the fly-in with
Bill Maddox Saturday morning.  Looking forward to seeing you there... be
sure to introduce yourself, I'm anxious to meet you.  Stay in touch.
