Phosgene "....smells like fresh cut hay". As one who lowered himself in an elevator to the first floor when the shaft was full of phosgene vapor 'fresh cut hay' didn't come to mind. 😥

Being a 'ol farm chap who has hauled more loads of fresh mowed hay than I care to recall, linking the smell of phosgene to hay surely was made by a city slicker... After 31 years manufacturing Lexan where phosgene is used as the catalyst, it never did smell like hay to me. Said with respect of those who think it does. 😀 Earl
Huh! That looked like the end of "PHOSGENE" to me...... used in the
synthesis of certain pharmaceuticals and smells like fresh cut hay. Indeed
an interesting bottle.
