I received a couple of e-mails from Brian Brown (Bbrown1294@aol.com)  regarding the JOT
Fly-in and thought I'd post all the info I have on it:

08/25/2000 Friday -     6-10PM early arrivals and cocktail reception
08/26/2000 Saturday - 8am- noon     Arrivals, event registration and tech
information
                            11am -1pm     Lunch
                            Noon - 1pm    Best of show judging
                             1pm  -3 pm   Spot Landing contest
                                 3pm  - 6pm   Race
                                 7pm - ?        Dinner banquet and awards
08/27/2000 Sunday      8am-11am    Pancake Breakfast and departures

Registration Fees:

$125 - Race Registration including Three Meals.
  $75 - Race Registration ONLY

We have scheduled 3 meals in the price of the registration which include
lunch, dinner banquet and Sunday pancake breakfast. Sorry no pig roast roast
this year....but this will be a first class event!

Race Rules/Specifics:

Saturday Aug 26th 3-6PM - aprox 300 NM
Standing Start at Joliet Regional Airport
Faster airplanes would take off first

Fly from JOT to Bradford VOR
Bradford VOR to Polo VOR
Polo VOR back to JOT and a flyby over airport

(I get 181.7 Nautical Miles on my FliteStar flight planning software using
the course above--Rick)

Cash prize for first place winners for each catagory. ( amount to be
determined by how many registrations we receive)

I e-mailed Brian asking for the hotels/motels in the area...
