I'm using a Dual remote GPS receiver with my iPad. It connects via Bluetooth, it's not specific just for iPad so it should connect to any Bluetooth device. It's a cube about 1 1/2 inches square by about 1/2 inch deep and comes with a neat rubber holder that lets you place it on the glare shield or any other surface without slipping. It's a neat device but you probably ought to check with Dual regarding your Kindle. Incidentally, there's an iPad app available that provides status for the Dual.

No connection to Dual other than being a satisfied user.
