I take  a life raft and inflatable  life preservers when space permits. I
usually cross in the mid teens (14-17000 ft).  That way if I have to cross a
t a lower altitude for some reason I have better peace of mind. At the
altitudes you will be at I would feel it is unnecessary baggage.

Lakes

My wife has asked how many of you have floatation devices or full survival
gear in the plane when transiting over the Great Lakes?

I'll be at FL220-FL230 and have a 20:1 glide ratio (LIVP, Feathering Prop).
I understand the math.

But how many of you carry floatation devices?
