Install two float switches. One
switch is for full indication. The other switch is about half way down at
a level where it will turn on when you have 30 minutes reserve fuel
remaining. Now you can develop a auto circuit to turn on your pump
when that switch is activated and the top switch will turn off the pumps when
full.
Ron Franz developed such a circuit. I
obtained a copy of it and expanded it to cover all three tanks, header and
wings. It worked beautifully.

Subject: [LML] Header tank
Another request for those who have built the L320/360. I am just
beginning to build up my header tank, and am thinking I might install a float
switch to operate a “Tank Full” warning light when transferring
fuel to the header tank. I am interested in comments from other builders about
what you have done, or even better, what you wish you had done, in setting up
the fuel transfer system.
