One switch is for full indication. The other switch is about half way down at a level where it will turn on when you have 30 minutes reserve fuel remaining. Now you can develop a auto circuit to turn on your pump when that switch is activated and the top switch will turn off the pumps when full. Ron Franz developed such a circuit. I obtained a copy of it and expanded it to cover all three tanks, header and wings. It worked beautifully.
