I have no tape on the Legacy. My wing gap on the bottom is too small and has to be opened up. I landed hard two weeks ago and it actually cracked the bottom skin from the interference. No problem, I had a composite guy here at the time and he repaired it with a carbon patch in one day. Lucky me. But if I open up the gaps I will need the tape on the wings. Did you use it anywhere else?

Paul,
Check out www.cumulus-soaring.com Look for Bowlus Maxi Gap Seal Tape, Width: 1", White, Length: 36 yards
This works really well for me on a Legacy. Sticks well enough such that it stays in place, stretches well – plus, isn’t so sticky to the extent that it doesn’t try to take paint off when you remove it! This is what the glider guys use.

John

Folks
The 8672 Polyurethane tape we commonly use for our wing gap seal is apparently only available in black and transparent. I want something in white.
