Tom,

I added mounting points for static wicks on my (MkII) elevator and wingtips,
and added a grounding path through the horizontal stabilizer so I can attach
a grounding strap to the horizontal stabilizer and ground both it and the
elevators.  I'm also running a grounding strap along the aft side of the
wings, connecting as many surface metallic objects (mainly hinges) as
possible.  The goal is to put wicks at points where static charge will
accumulate to hopefully dissipate it.  I'm under no delusion that this is a
perfect solution.  Does it help at all?  Don't know - ask in 2 years or so
when (hopefully) I'm flying.

grounded (or should they?) on a non carbon airframe?
