To be clear, I didn't use the word "offensive". I merely stated what my friend told me without going into detail. However, just as home owners associations have rules, they can and do vary from one association to another. The same is true of airports where some will allow you to build a residence inside of your hanger while others will not even allow a refrigerator. Some will allow you to use your hanger like a storage unit where anything is allowed (all non-aviation) to be stored there while others will allow only aviation related activity in the hanger. And the list goes on............ Hope that explains my point.

Valin,
Where in the Denver area are you living? I have my Legacy at Front Range Airport (KFTG). I live up in Conifer so it's just over one hour to drive there, but it is a very nice airport with cheap hangers compared to KAPA and probably the same as Rocky Mountain. Boulder runway may be a little short with a lot of glider traffic and Longmonts rules leave a lot to be desired. A close friend just left Longmont for Front Range because of the rules. He owned a hanger there for twenty + years.

Hey LML gang,
Does anyone one have advice on finding a good hangar in the Boulder, Colorado area?
Our Legacy project has been on hold for many months while on temporary duty in Colorado. Our airplane is still in our hangar in Houston. My wife Allyson and I love this area and hope to be staying in Colorado long term and need to work out getting our Legacy project moved up here...
Our first airport choice is the Rocky Mountain Regional Airport (formerly JeffCo), then Boulder, and then Longmont.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions those familiar with the area and hangar availability might have.
