It didn't seem = that bad. I was down below having a drink. A heard loud thunder and saw = an immediate flash. It appeared to be very close. I hadn't even turned = on the power in the boat yet. When I did turn it on, I found out that all of the electronics on the = boat were fried. The bow thruster was fried. The wind gauge on top of = the 70' mast was blown away. I didn't even know that I was hit until I started testing. Lightning can take out any piece of electronic gear that it wants to = anywhere in any vessel that it hits. This is experience talking.
