It is my current intention to drive my wife's pickup truck to Redmond for the 
Labor Day Open House.  I'll be picking up a few items that would be costly to 
ship, such as an extended cowling (if it's ready), an exhaust system, and 
other items.  I figure the drive will cost about the same as the shipping 
would cost, so I get a mini-vacation for free, plus get to attend the Open 
House.  Of course, I'll stop in Vern's toy store, and probably have to 
panhandle for gas money on the way home....

I'm willing to load up the (enclosed) pickup truck with stuff for other 
builders, so they can save on shipping as well.  I'm particularly thinking of 
those expensive hazmat shipments, but anything would do.  We'll have plenty 
of room, I suspect.  You'd have to arrange it all with Vern so that it was 
all ready to go (like, you know, paid for) but I'd be happy to put it in the 
truck and drive it south.

I live in Palmdale California.  You'd have to come up here to get your stuff, 
or fly into Lancaster Fox Field and I'll meet you there.  Alternatively, I'd 
be driving back along I-5 and could meet you at any exit if you live between, 
say, Redding and Bakersfield.

This trip is not 100% guaranteed to happen but the chances are very high.  
I'll know more by mid-August.
