I had access to a Bridgeport mill with an x/y digital readout and so I began with the center of the airspeed indicator as the 0/0 position and gradually worked my way all around the panel. What you see took several weekends of effort and the end result is quite satisfying. Don't begin the process until you have completed the canopy installation including the gas struts. Only THEN, can you begin to fit the panel frame which I made out of glass and carbon. Temporarily tape some 1/2" flexible spacer material to the inside canopy glass in the upper left and right corners and position the panel frame to just touch these spacers. This will give you enough space between your panel and canopy to fit the panel dust cover.
