I decided to look for a floor coating for my garages to make working there a little easier. I ended up using a combination of Europoxy and Eurothane. The result is amazing, a very high gloss finish that is proof against almost any oil or chemical. It is used for laboratory floors and is easily superior to any of the Home Depot floor coatings. Having said that, it is expensive at about $305 for a double garage, and is one of those potentially lethal epoxies, so a good organic vapor mask is essential. You apply the Eucopoxy first with a roller as a primer, then the Eucothane. A 2 gallon pack of Eucopoxy and a 3 gallon pack of Eucothane was enough for a single and a double garage. I used "Light Reflective" color, which reflects light, and shows up anything you drop. I have done it twice in a year and really recommend the stuff. You have to order it from a builder's supplier, but you can get the local supplier from the manufacturer, the Euclid Chemical Company at 1-800-321-7628 or 216-531-9222. While I am rabbitting on, is anyone building a 320/360 in the Fort Worth area who would be willing to show me the results? Also are there any recommendations for a good EAA Chapter in the area? There is nothing like seeing other's efforts for encouragement; I watched Hollis Helms building his 360 while I was in Virginia, and then flew in the finished aircraft; a very nice machine, and a great incentive to keep going.
