Tracy,

I am building a 360 with the outback gear option, my kit has a different
flap system to accommodate the larger gear (the flap motor mounts on the
bottom of the fuselage in the baggage area). You need to check which flap
system you have, if it is the "standard" one, you may have to modify it to
accommodate the larger main tires.

You will need to replace the wheel well doors, also, if you use the left
gear for the right, and right for left, you will be able to use the supplied
doors without removing core material, there is more information on this in
the archives of this site (search for "outback gear"). It did turn out to be
somewhat of a project to properly fit the main gear doors.

I do not yet have the oleo shocks, but my understanding is they do simply
bolt in.

<<My partner and I are considering converting our 360
from the wheelbarrow wheels to outback wheels. Lancair
claims they just bolt in and go (only change is to
replace wheel well covers for bulge of tire).  Is this
that simple?  We also would be adding the oleo struts
-is this a simple bolt in replacement for the donuts?>>
