Danny, your statement below is false (although it's a common
misconception among pilots) and a very good indication that you don't
understand the basic principles the combustion event in an internal
combustion piston engine. Take the course so you can understand your
engine (and engine monitor) better. The fuel savings is only one small
side benefit. There is MUCH more to the course than just LOP
operations.

I've been fascinated with engines all my life and thought I knew quite
a lot about them.... until I took the APS course. It was very
enlightening.
