Tom,
Be sure to check the prop for proper
tracking.
Other than that, your vibrations may be normal for
a Lycoming 4 banger.
These engines are never totally smooth running -
especially in a lightweight airframe.
If you go to a fixed pitch prop such as by "Cato",
you will save 50 lbs and reduce some of the vibration as well.
