I changed from the cheng shin last month due to the cheng shin's not being available anywhere.  8plys that is.  I was afraid to put them on because of the previously reported cracking problem.  I changed them anyway, and as soon as I mounted and inflated, one tire had small 1/2 cracks.  After 3 landings, I now have a large crack half way around the tire and smaller cracks in the other tire.  I contacted desser, and they were surprised and said that they had not heard of this before.  They said they would send me new tires, but to just order them from spruce.  Well that is where I just got them from and don't want to order the same tires from the same batch and spend hours changing them just to have the same thing happen.  Now after repeated emails, I have not heard anything from them in 3 weeks.  I plan on putting some cheng shin 6 plys on that I have, but I know those will not last long. My last set of 8 ply cheng shins got 110 hours and about as many landings out of them with no problems.

This is just to inform everyone about the problems that 2 people have had.

On a side note, the tubes do fit the tire better and are easier to put on and take off.
