Countersinking #6 screws into 4-6 BID of graphite doesn't leave much= =20 material.  That's what happened to my first aluminum cover plates.&nbs= p; I=20 dimpled the second set and that's the way to go.  Of course you could = go=20 10-12 BID and have plenty of material for the countersinking.
