The large NACA scoop on the left side of the standard GII or GIII is a fuel servo air induction inlet. Some builders, usually GIII, have put a smaller scoop on the right side for a oil cooler. The NACA scoop on the left is molded into the fuselage.

You might try calling New Glasair, on the Glasair 2 & 3 they have a larger NACA scoop on the side for oil cooling

They are fairly easy to make using a foam mold, plus custom made will conform to the curved part of the cowl better.

Subject: [LML] Premolded NACA scoop

Does anyone have or know where I can get a NACA scoop to install on my cowling for oil cooling?
I tried lancair and looks like the only have the small ones now. I looked at aircraft spruce and they have some but they outlet is 2.5 to 4 inches. I was looking for one with a 3 inch duct connection and proper size for cooling the oil.
Thanks
Bryan
