It worked on the bench with Garmin release 7 software. But, not with 8 (which modified the WX-900 interface) or now R 9. The Avidyne reportedly emulates the WX-500, but there appears to be some glitch in the interface. Garmin supports the WX -500. Garmin is essentially refusing to address the issue, likely due to competitive tensions, low demand etc. Like asking the (large) dog to work with the cat, even though it is likely a simple fix. Avidyne hasn't offered much support.
